5 months ago I had my surgery I have lost 68 lbs, It has changed my life, if I didn't lose another pound I would still be happy. I am healthier and thats what counts, according to the dr I need to lose another 47 lbs. I don't know where I would lose it at so I think me and him need to sit down and talk about how much more I need to lose, maybe another 20 wouldnt be so bad but 47 I think would make me look unhealthy. I was a diabetic and took 3 pills a day and 2 shots, since my surgery I have not had any medicine or shots at all!! Thats enough for me to celebrate LIFE!!! Thanks for all the encouragment from obesityhelp without this messageboard and chat without you, I don't think I would of been so successful!!! beginning wt. 247 todays's wt.179 goal 133 height 5 "7

Congratulations to you Michelle! I also had my 5 month anniversary on the 20th. Like you, I also had diabetes and a host of other health problems. I am happy to report, (like you) that I do not take any diabetic medications. And my blood sugars and HGB A1C's are back to normal. That is what I wanted the most out of my surgery. My health back. Plus the physical looks aren't bad either! I still take my pressure medication though. I hope to get rid of it soon. I have lost a total of 98 pounds. Sounds like you are really close to your goal weight. Keep up the good work and you will be there really soon. Again, congratulations to you! Michelle Allard~
