Hello to all from Europe!!

Hi all, I live in Germany so do not keep up with this message board as much as I would like due to the time zone issues. But I gotta say, I DO READ what ya'll write and you have been a tremendous source of info for me. I, Too had the surgery in Sept 16th 2005 and have done well. I just have to send my praise for the support you all show each other and especially to that man Michael who has also done so much for all. I have a small support group here but appreciate the world of caring you all provide. I just wanted to say what a special group of people you all are. Imagine a bunch of folks who have never met but one experience has pulled them together to provide such warm relationships!! I envy that from you all!! Maybe all message boards are like this Sept Surgery one, but I cannot imagine a greater group of folks!! Welcome Jacqueline Yes, I had my surgery Sept. 28 and it is nice to go to a forum where the posters are all about the same time. This way I don't worry if I haven't lost when I see that others on the forum are having the same problem. Michaels posts are very informative and enjoyble. Keep up the good work . It doesn't matter what time you post. There is usually someone on at any time. Nice to meet you . Sandy

Hi Jacquline, this group has been the greatest. The support group for my hospital meets at least once a month. I have also had a mini support group that met for 8 weeks. But by far this has been the group that I get the most information from and has been there when I feel down. I really am starting to feel like the people here are my friends. so welcome donna

Hi Jacqueline, Good to see you posting here with us and you're half way around the world! That's fantastic... Don't let the time zones keep you from sharing. We all post on here at different times during the day...some in the morning, some at night...etc etc. Yes, we are a great deal of support for one another, and when one member is in crisis, we all band together to try and make it easier to cope. Hello Jacjac, Glad to hear that you are getting along well after your surgery! I also had my surgery in September, 2005, and have done well. 98 pounds. It have been hard, but very rewarding. I find this sight very informative. Its great to be able to ask a question and find that someone out there can answer it or has been through the same and can offer advise to you. Michelle Allard
