Is anyone eating . . .
Is anyone eating bread, rice, and/or pasta? Those were the only three things my surgeon said to stay away from, because they expand in the pouch probably. I was just wondering if anyone was eating these foods and if so how you are doing with them and if they are effecting your weight loss that you can tell. Also I'm monitoring on FitDay and trying to stay about 30% protein, 30% fat, and 40% carbs. I'm at about 1000 calories/day with 60 g protein. Does that sound about right? Weight loss has slowed for sure but the exercise is toning me up which helps. Thanks for your comments.

I avoid bread, rice, and pasta....I do eat crackers and if I eat a sandwich, I will eat one piece of bread and only eat about half of the sandwich because I am full. I haven't had rice because the one time I did I had a bad experience. The same goes for pasta. As for chinese food....I will eat hot and sour soup because it has tofu in it...I will also eat a chinese dish, I prefer a meat that is stir fried and not breaded...., but I always ask for NO rice. If I accidentally get it...I just pick around it..., but I can not eat a lot of chinese food that has a heavy sauce, it is just too much.

I have not had any problems with bread, rice or pasta. I do not eat a lot of it, but occasionally I will have a little pasta, half of a sandwich or a bite or two of rice. I don't think it has slowed my weight loss down. I have lost 99 lbs since 9/9/2005. I try to stick with mostly protein. Alot of chicken and cheese.
