Hair Update
Mine is still going. I havn't broken down to cut it short as of yet. I hope that it will slow down enough so I don't have to.
I shower every day at work- I work out in the a.m. and have to stop and clean out the shower--- it is real bad.
The one other women who works out is an aneroxic (sp) and she too is loosing her hair. We kind of laugh about it. She is a good kid and getting help for her problems.

My hair loss has not slowed down any. I does me no good to skip a day washing my hair, because the next time I do it comes out twice as bad. I had thick hair and it is short also. Since I have thinned my hair out I can actually use gel in it and it gives it more body. I am looking forward to getting what I have lost back.
I do have one question- why does the hair on my legs stop growing or fall out. Of course the hair I would like to fall out doesn't!!!
Hugs,
Christine
Hey Barb, knock on wood, but I haven't lost any hair yet!! I keep waiting, I hear five months is when it can really start.
So I'll probably just be starting to lose my hair when you all are done!! By the way, I have been taking Biotin since way before my surgery. Someone told me once that that was good for hair loss. I don't know if that's had anything to do with it or not.

Hi,
Fortunately, I've lost no hair. (knock wood) It does seem to be flatter than normal lately, though, even without losing any. I'm trying different shampoos to give it a boost. It's probably because of malnutrition or something.
My surgeon told me at week 2 that as long as I was getting in 65 gms or more of protein a day right from surgery, that I'd probably not lose my hair...maybe he's right.
OR, maybe I've just not lost it yet...
