I am having a real hard time getting my protien in through food. Chicken, pork, beef anything is making my stomach turn. I am once again back to eating mushy foods. Apple sauce, potatoes, soups. I was able to eat frozen dinners (lean cusine, ww etc) for a short while but can no longer stomach them. Any advice?

I still eat 1 protien bar and drink 1 protien shake every day, that gives me 40 grm of protien on top of whatever I can get with reguler food. Carol W

I do drink a protien shake in the morning. I have been avoiding the protien bars- they seem more like eating candy and I don't want to go there. I guess I was looking to go more towards real food. I guess I will just continue with the protien drinks. I am trying penut butter and bananas right now and it seems ok. My DH made beef stew and after 1 bit I was done. donna

Hi Donna, we have a funny pouch, don't we! I too have had trouble with food protein. I am having about 4 protein drinks a day just to be sure I get it all in. I eat cheese alot, that seems to go down easily. Most meat just gags me, and chicken I can chew for hours and it is just sawdust!! I think we'll get better, but it sure is a strange process. Take lots of protein drinks to keep up your protein. donna

Thanks donna, it is driving me crazy. I just can't find the perfect "real protein". donna

In addition to protein drinks, I depend on ground beef crumbles, cooked with beef broth or spaghetti (low sugar grams) sauce. I also get pork barbecue. I have problems with chicken (sometimes dark meat is OK) and steak and porkchops. Any seafood works well...grouper, mahi, shrimp, scallops. Pam 5'2" 282/**195**/145

You know I am ok with the beef crumbles. I use tomatoes with garlic instead of spagetti sauce. I have tried the wheat pasta- not sure if it is better than the regular pastas and I only have a very little bit. The pork barbecue sounds good- think I give it a try over the weekend. thanks donna
