Just the other day I posted that I was close... 202. For the next week all I have done is go up and down. It is driving me crazy. I am at 203 right now. It is so frustrating. I agree with you that a stall at 185 wouldn't be so bad. Its that I am looking at onederland with my rose colored glasses hoping to get there. donna

Hello Donna, I stalled practically the WHOLE MONTH OF JANUARY!!! However, my neighbor invited me to work out with her and I have been going daily at 4am, I know.....sounds huh? But guess what, from the stall of 186lbs to 178lb today WOOHOO I am sooooo excited that getting up gets easier everyday! I like meats so I try and eat deli meats, chicken, or pork chops or beef for lunch and dinner. Those lunchables work well for me w/o the snack. I don't eat much but I find eating more smaller meals have helped more than trying to eat a saucer of a meal 3 times a day. I will be honest, I do have a few bad snacking habits when I don't feel like eating a meal, but have been working to break that bad habit.

Hey Hawaiian Angel (love that name!!), you get up at 4 a.m.!!! Are you an angel or what!! How can you do that. I am so impressed with you. It's still dark out, isn't it!!! But look at you - down to 178!! I should get my little bum up and out and quit whinning. What exercise do you do -walking, or going to the gym? Thanks for the lunchables hint, that's a good idea. Are your snacking habits like crackers? I seem to be eating more cheese and crackers than I want to. I need to nip that too. I heard someone say that snacking is the downfall of wls patients. I need to be more aware. Thanks for your post. I will say, I don't see me getting up at 4 a.m., but maybe I can stick to what I've said I was going to do, exercise wise. love donna

Donna - Thank you for this thread! Hopefully I've broken through a stall I've been on since the 3rd of January. Can you believe it!!! 168-169 for over a month. I can only imagine your frustration at the 199/200 mark! It's the pits. I started an exercise program the first of January too and couldn't believe it. I kept telling myself I'm building muscle but it didn't help when I weighed each morning. Hopefully you'll get past this soon. I started tracking my food on FitDay and it has helped me stay on top of my protein. It's tough though. Anyway, thanks for sharing. I'm reminded I'm in GOOD COMPANY! You're the best. Sydney

Hi Sydney, thanks for responding!!! I guess I have to be patient. But this flirting business with the 190s -- that is the pits. By the way, I am 199 this morning, and was 200 yesterday, so the saga continues!! I think I am going to ditch my scale for awhile and just not let my day be defined by that -- which I do, now. I get real down mentally when I stay the same. I know our window of opportunity is closing (is it 6-12 months) and I still have lots to lose. Thanks for the message Sydney. Yes, we are all in the same boat. Don't you just love this forum - it's a good way to touch base with people who are exactly in the same place as you!! love donna

Our window of opportunity is at least 12-18 months, so it won't close anytime soon! I have only lost 4 pounds in the last 2 months, so I understand your frustration, but have you lost inches? My clothes have been fitting me differently the past 2 months even though I haven't lost weight. Try not to focus on the number, just how you feel and how your clothes fit. I would try putting away the scale for at least 2 weeks. Farrah

Hey Farrah, our window is 12-18 months!! That is fantastic!! I don't know where I heard it was 8-12. I like your timeframe. I don't know about inches, I'll try to measure. But yes, I have noticed I can zip a size 16 pair of jeans that just last week I had a gap going on. And yes, I did weigh today (199!, but tomorrow it will be 200!!), but I did put away my scale. I am not going to weigh. Thanks Farrah! donna
