????? Anyone know about hotel & Laptops

I am leaving for Tennesse tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone knows how to get hooked to internet service at a hotel. ( Or what I need to do) I know there is a way. Hi Barb, I think if you call the hotel they could make arrangements to put you in a room with hookup. I know that sounds easy, but I think it might work!! Let me know. donna

as long as the hotel/motel has internet hookup in your room all you will need to do is plug your laptop in...I'm sure they can tell you if you call the front desk. Most Hotels are equipped with this in each room...many Motels are just too small to do it. Have a great trip...is this business or pleasure? I love TN...it's one of the prettiest states to drive thru. I have only been to certain parts of it but it's on the list of places to move to when I'm ready to leave long island Linda

My nephew is getting Married in gatlinburg. My whole family is going to go down there. Me and My daughter are leaving wens so we can enjoy the state. I have never been there,. Thanks for your help Barb

if it's highspeed internet, you will need an ethernet cord...and usually the hotel will have one you can use while there, for a small fee...or you can get one at Office Depot for about $4....depends how much you travel. If it's dial-up, then you'll need to take a cord to go into the phone at the hotel.. HTH
