Ladies So I've been having issues with my period and was wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing. Right before my surgery I noticed that me period had been moving ahead like 2 days every month. Then after my surgery it has moved up about a week every month. In December I had my period twice that month. And now I got my period again and it is a week early. I am very frusturated. I went to my regular dr. last week and she tested my hormones to be safe and all my levels are fine. Is anyone else experiencing this? By the way I haven't been on this website for sometime and it is wonderful to see how everyone is doing! Thanks, Carrie 265/257/233/150 Heavest/surgery/current/goal

Hi Carrie You are not alone my period has been all out of wack since surgery. I actually started birth control just to try to regulate my period. I had my period 5 out of 8 weeks, and besides my iron bieng low probablt from having a preiod for so long the Dr. said that everything else is fine. The dr. said that it may be due to the weight loss. And then there are the ladies who since surgery have very light barley there periods. Well unfortunantly since surgery i have had my period more often then not, somethimes every other week. Hopefullt this is just a passing phase and it will get better for both of us. keep up the good work on loosing *Paula*

I had my surgery on 9/27/05, I had a period the same day, since then I have had two a month and I also went to the dr fri and she wants to do a ultrasound in two and put me on the nuvaring for birth control, she said we don't absorb birth control pills all that well and to be safe to do this ring thing hugh! This is also the reason I have been on a plateau for 3 weeks but finally busted it this weekedn Thanks

Yep. When I'm in a fast-losing streak, like I was last week, I got my period early. Same thing when I was first out of surgery four months ago. I read that since we store estrogen in our fat, when we're losing fat the estrogen being released can mess up our cycles temporarily. Good luck! Holly

I've had 14 day periods, and I've skipped a period one month. My periods have been screwed up since surgery.
