A not so wow momment
Okay, so I set a personal goal of running a triathlon this summer. So I work out regularly training for this triathlon. Finishing is winning for me, right?
It's just a sprint. 3 mile run, 6 mile bike and a 800 meter swim. I'd been working on the run and bike parts for a couple of months, and while I'm not there yet, I'm feeling pretty good about those sections. So last night I started to train in the swim part.
OMG! I used to be a competitive swimmer in the dim and distant past. I figured the swim would be easy. HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! I can barely lift my arms this morning, my legs are killing me. It was the hardest workout yet. Even more evil than the elliptical. I'll keep at it for a month, and decide then if I think I can get my swimming up to a respectable level to even try the triathlon.
