eliptical finally

Every work day I get into work and walk the dreaded tread for 45 minutes. It has been ok. I use an ipod and I am lucky that at work we have a gym with treadmill, eliptical and bike. As well as freeweights. The best part is that I am the only one in there at that hour. Before the surgery I tried to use the equipment and got very scared off. I got on the eliptical for all of 2 minutes before I dam near had a heart attack. Every one has told me that it is the best, easier on the legs than the tread mill. I didn't believe them, it hurt my legs when I tried to use it. BUT today I did it. After going to last nights support group I psyched myself up and ended up doing 30 minutes. It was awesome. It burns more calories per minute than the tread and I worked up quite the sweat. I almost quite at 15 minutes, it is a lot harder on the backs of the legs. So now the plan is to alternate tread, bike and eliptical..... thanks for listening.. d

I only do 20 minutes on the elliptical. I also do these daily and I do the tread mill 30 minutes daily. Then I do my ab lounge ab roller and thigh master and bar bells. Mt ellipical burns 225 calories in 20 minutes. Ido a auto program everyday with my elliptcal. I am burning alot of caories as well. The elliptical is your best workout. I can only do up to 20 minutes. My program has alot of resitance It wears me out. Your doing great Barb

wow when do you have time for sleeping and eating. I guess passing on the eating is a good thing. I also try to get the bar bells in. What are you doing? I just do 8# weights and curl and lift straight out. I am getting tired of the gym and am looking forward to spring.....

I only get in 1 hr excerise a day. 30 minutes tread mill -20 minutes elliptcal - the other 10 miutes I do the ab lounges and ab roller and bar bells and thigh master. Trust me it doesnt take long to do those. You can only do so much. with the bar bells. I use them mostley over my head up and down. then in front of me bending the elbows in and out. I also use the thigh master on my arms and thighs, the ab roller also tones the arms and back. This is new to me just got get, very hard to do.. these excercise are hard and you can only do so many of the ab and arm excercises. I get mine done in 10 minutes. need to increase that time. I walk outside everyday it is 40 or above. I love walking outside. all my equipment is in my home. That makes it nice. I dont think I would like a gym either. Best wishes \Barb
