Last night was really bad for me too.... I really haven't found anything to help me out but if I figure something out I will definately pass it along. I read someone say that when you go to graze, get up and exercise instead. ( Hasn't worked for me.. After exercising I still feel that gravitational pull toward the kitchen...) I think what I need to do is put a door with a pad lock on my kitchen and lock it after dinner. LOL... Marcia

I lock up my popcorn and hot chocalate and my scales because I was grazing with those. And I noticed when I did the fitday.com those are my 2 biggest problems. So I only eat those now when I am low on calories and need to eat something. I am getting most of my protein in now naturally. I do one protein drink a day. Do what it takes. Hugs Barb

Jenny are you eating enough at meals. Maybe your not satisfied. I track my eating on fitday.com it lets me know if I am over eatting Hugs Barb

Hi Jenny, Since the holidays, I'm having a horrible time in the evenings with wanting to graze. I try to have healthy snacks, but sometimes it does end up being a small snack bag of chips or some crackers. You know, the comfort carbs. I'm working on it. The weight is still coming off, but I've got to change the behavior from what it was before or it (the surgery) will be all for naught. Paula

Paula, You sound just like me! Since letting myself graze about during the Holidays...well, the crackers and a few sweets here and there are calling me! My problem time is during the afternoons at work... I know I have a lot of boredom at my job and want to snack. I'm like you that the weight is slowly coming off, but if I snack like this now, it will be horrible after the window-of-weightloss-opportunity closes! I have to get control now! Maybe I should just allow myself a :"protein" snack from now on since I'm eating anyway... Shell

I try to eat something that has protein in it if i snack. I dont call it snacking though because generally i need the extra protein. I eat 3 - 6 times a day depending on how many calories and how much protein i have in. Maybe spreading meals out in small portions would help. Tammy O I do drink sugar free cocoa if i have a sweet craving. I try not to have too many carbs available to me at home. I think that is really the only sure fire way not to eat them.

Do something inconsistent with eating. Take a bath, paint your nails, knit a sweater. Whatever you can think to do that will keep your hands busy so you can't eat. Also, try drinking water or a protein shake to fill you up so you physically feel full. Good luck.
