Got my new pic up. My hair looks like crap I am gowing it out and cant do nothing with it. I got it dyed tonight. My daughter dyed it a dark brown. My gray is gone. and so much hair fell out in the tub. I mean a hand full. So I havent long hair in a few years. I hope it grows fast and I hope I can get away with it at my age. Take Care Barb

Hi Barb, First of all, great picture! You look fantastic! Congratulations, all of your hard work is paying off! Here's some info I found about basal metabolic rate. This is what basal refers to on fit day. Basically, the calories we burn at rest. I know that exercise, and adding weight resitance or light weights to your exercise routine significantly increases your BMR. Basal Metabolic Rate - BMR Your basal metabolic rate, or BMR, is the minimum calorific requirement needed to sustain life in a resting individual. It can be looked at as being the amount of energy (measured in calories) expended by the body to remain in bed asleep all day! BMR can be responsible for burning up to 70% of the total calories expended, but this figure varies due to different factors. Calories are burned by bodily processes such as respiration, the pumping of blood around the body and maintenance of body temperature. Obviously the body will burn more calories on top of those burned due to BMR. Hope this helps, Linda R

Thank you I am 48 my daughters tell me the same thing. And have 3 grandsons and maybe another on the way. One of my daughters say I look younger than her. But you should have seen me before the surgery I was gray headed with heart failure. and look very much of a 60 year old woman. I was so swelled with water. My face was always beet red. Thank you your so kind. Hugs Barb

Hey Barb - looking hot!! Cute cute hair. I haven't started losing mine yet, but I yank on it every day to see!! It will happen, I'm sure. I've been taking 3000 mg Biotin every day pre surgery so maybe that is prolonging it. Thanks for sharing your cute picture. I need to put a new one up soon, too. love donna
