Anyone else exercise challenged? I'm 3.5 months out and have lost 68.5 lbs. but haven't seriously gotton on the exercise bandwagon yet and am ready to commit. I have an appointment at our local sports center Monday for my orientation and to meet with a trainer to set up a cardio and weight program for myself? Anyone else ready to commit to a exercise program? I'd like a place to post, check-in, offer and receive support. I'm looking for web partners! Thank you. Sydney

Hi Sydney, I'm totally looking forward to this new challenge! I had my surgery on Sept. 19 and am a slow loser and I know most of it is because I have not gotten motivated enough to MOVE! Actually, I looove the "Biggest Loser". A couple of days ago it had two families on there competing. I had an idea to compete with my sister's family in the same type of contest. We are all weighing on Sun. or Mon. We'll go month to month, seeing which family loses the most weight percentage -wise and there will be a prize of some sort. We both have eager participants. So, ANYhow, I started up to the YMCA on Wednesday and plan on going on a very regular basis and when I can't go there, I can walk or work out to my Leslie Sansone tape. Okay, I'll shut up. Just wanted to say...yes, I'm game.

Thanks everyone! I feel motivated already. Can't wait till Monday. Walked at a local park today and will go for new tennies and gym clothes tomorrow. Now is a critical time to be moving. I know the weigh loss will slow down and I've got saggy skin that needs attention. I'll look forward to checking in and anyone is welcome to call for an "Exercise Update." Can't wait to get moving more.

I'm all for it, now we need to define the rules to keep us honest.

Gosh - - rules? To thine own self be true! I guess I was thinking we all would need to set our own goals and commit to those. I'm joining our local sports center and am meeting with a trainer on Monday to learn the equipment and develop my program of cardio and strength training. I am so out of shape I may notbe able to do as much cardio as the next guy. But I'll stick to the program and go to the gym at least 4 times a week for at least an hour. Any one else have any suggestions on guidelines? I'm open! Sydney

I'm sorry that didn't come out right. I mean how often do we check in. yes our goals need to be personal, but we need to post them, so that others can keep us honest. That's what I was trying to say yesterday, but my brain was mush. My goals 3 days of cardio min of 20 min 2 days of weights

Hi Tracie - I see! That makes total sense! How about we all check in on Fridays to share how our week was; if we met our exercise goals, and any special fitness related plans for the weekend. That way we weigh in on Mondays with Michael and check in on fitness goals on Fridays. How does that sound? I'm excited. Going to Mervyns today to hunt down a fitness bra and some play clothes for the gym. Your weekly goals sound perfect. I hope I can do 20 minutes of cardio without falling off the equipment. Day at a time. That's what I'll do. Thanks for your support. This is a big challenge for me and I appreciate you all. People say you can get addicted to exercise. . .hope that happens to me. It's a big part of the lifestyle change and I so want to succeed. Talk to you all soon. Sydney

Please count me in. Yes it is addicting. But once you fall off it is like a addict you have a binge of lazyness. Thats what I did last week. I was doing so well with my excercise. should we do inches and on fridays report inches and excercises. and feedback on how we feel we are doing. And what we want to do the next week. And share good excercise with each other. Like a little blog on fridays. Then our man Michael can do are charts Mondays. Sounds great Barb
