What are you able/not able to eat?
I dont usually measure my food - I go by the feeling of my stomach.
I can NOT eat rice or pasta of any kind, they get stuck and I have to vomit every time! I do not have a problem with Chicken, although I do not eat a lot of it at a time. Soups are easy and Ceasar Salads I can eat (but not the tomoatoes). Cooked veggies no problem. Meats I have not tried many. I have tried shrimp, cold or hot, they are still a NO GO for me. DANG IT! I love shrimp. Eggs, I can NOT eat scrambled, I now eat them cooked over easy (runny yolks), used to HATE them this way, the yolks had to be hard. It is funny how we have changed in so many things.
I do eat Atkins Advantage bars to help me get in my protein, since I still have not found a protein drink that I like and can tolerate. I takes me about 1.5 hours to eat one bar, and they are only 2.11oz.
Well, that is aobut it for me.
Hugs to all,
Anne-Marie
Hi Em
I'm able to tolerate everything I have tried, which has been a big variety. There hasn't been one thing that hasn't agreed with me. I eat all types of meat, fish, chicken, veggies and complex carbs.
I have been very, very fortunate. I'm able to eat about 3-4 ounces of meat and 1/4 veggies at one sitting, but there are times when I'm stuck at 1 or 2 ounces and no veggies; it all depends on how I'm feeling.
Good luck!
Kristine

I have been able to eat mostly whatever I want... However eggs and I arent friends anymore... which is crazy because omelettes used to be my favorite food... I also have noticed when I eat Straight carbs (like I had some lowfat chex mix over the holidays) I feel ill...
I do well with chicken, shrimp, beef and pork.. I just sometimes catch myself eating too fast and I get really sick...
I usually can eat about 2-3 oz of meat and like 1/4-1/2 cup of salad... but thats on an optimum day... sometimes 2 oz of anything and im done
I went to red lobster about 3 weeks ago and had about 5 shrimp from some shrimp scampi and 5-6 small bites of my salad and one bite of bisciut( i know bad) and i was STUFFED...
Hubby had surgery 09/28. He can eat anything he has tried, but he cannot eat a lot at all.... maybe 2 oz of dense foods.
If he had gone to your dinner he may have eaten 1 shrimp, and he would be full. Possibly 1 shrimp & 1/2 mushroom. He pretty much lives off beef jerky---- he just doesnt want to eat anymore and gets full very quickly.
