It might seem odd but you need to eat food to lose weight. and get your protein and water in. That is what my doctor told me. Happy New Year Barb

I am drinking 60 - 80 oz of water per day...I get about 60 grams of protein each day from my shakes...I drink a light & fit yogurt smoothie almost every day...I eat chicken and cheese...I eat dinner every night...I am eating...small portions and still NOT losing! it's just getting very frustrating...very very frustrating

Linda, I once went almost 2 weeks without losing then lost 10 pounds over night. It will come off. It has to come off. Happy New Year Barb

Are you watching your carbs? When I stalled, I started to keep track of everything I was eating in Fitday for the PC and I noticed that I was eating around 60g of carbs a day. I cut back to less than 20g of carbs(no more oatmeal, Kashi Go Lean cereal, or crackers) and I broke my stall and started to lose again. I've come to the conclusion that my body just does not handle carbs well. You could also give the plateau buster a try?

good morning... the nutritionist that is associated with my surgeon is horrible...she is basically non-existent and no help at all. I am going to be very careful of carbs now...I eat oatmeal 2x a week...maybe that's not a good thing for me. Where do I find the plateau buster? thanx!!!

I copied the plateau buster over from a post on the main board. Plateau Buster Diet #1 - Do this for 10 days to break a plateau #2 - Drink 2 quarts of water a day #3 - You must have 45 grams of protein supplement and all your vitamins/minerals supplements each day (some suggest at least 60 and up to 80 gr) #4 - You may consume up to 3 oz of the following high protein foods, 5x a day beef pork chicken turkey lamb fish eggs low fat cheese cottage cheese plain yogurt or artificially sweetened (?) peanut butter beans/legumes You may also have: sugar free popsicles tea or coffee sugar free soda sugar free jello broths/bullion (sp?) crystal light drinks #5 - If it's not on the list, you can't have it for 10 days!!!! #6 - Keep a food diary and try to get up to 30 mins of exercise Hope this helps. Hi When I was a month and a half out I stalled for 3 weeks and just came off a 2 and a half week stall so I know how you are feeling. It is very depressing.I was so discouraged.Keep doing what you are doing. Also track what you are eating and how much.Could be too many carbs but more than likely its just your body catching up before the next weight loss happens. It will come off. I can't imagine what I could be doing wrong in all honesty...the only thing I am thinking is that the gym is building muscles and that's keeping my weight at a stand still...my goal for New Years was 75 lbs...not going to happen I guess... I KNOW that it HAS to come off...HAS TO!! but like you...I am just so discouraged and as much as I hate to do it I look at what other ppl that had surgery this month have lost and as much as I am THRILLED to have lost 62 pounds I hate the fact that there is nothing happening now. My New Year's Resolution...............don't compare myself with others and keep doing what I know is right for me...(I hope) thanx for the support!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
