Question for women

Okay men, you've been warned, turn back now or suffer the consequences... Ladies, I know the reason behind the never ending menstral cycle, that it's because we store our hormones in our fat and that they are being released quickly, etc... but how long much I have my period and feel depleted from it? I've been bleeding now with a one or two day break every 2 weeks for 2 months straight! I'm really starting to go a little bonkers here and I would LOVE to spend a little less money on pads and tampons, not to mention getting rid of the cramps and everything else that goes with this. It's been constant for 2 months, before that I'd have at least 5 days between 10 on, 5 off, it was better than this at least! Okay, this is a combo vent and question, any info on when this might end would be appreciated!!! HUGS Rachel

Rachel, I am sorry to hear about this problem that you are having. I am lucky, I had an ablation a month before having my surgery and am barely having cycles...so, I can not help with this issue. I would, however, contact my gyn or surgeon and see if they could do something to help. ~~em

I haven't experienced that - I had irregular period for twenty years before surgery, but have been regular as a clock ever since. You might talk to your doctor and see if he/she can prescribe a series of BCP for you - probably progesterone, since fat already contains estrogen. It might help you regulate while you're going through rapid weight loss. --BT
