Ok I'm curious....how come no rice? Because I've had rice and haven't had any trouble. Not very much, but a little. Terrie

Rice, much like white bread, absorbs liquid and grows like a sponge. It can, in large enough quantities, help the premature stretching of your pouch. Also, the natural sugars in rice is kinda high, so lots of people dump on rice.

Terrie, Michael answered your question, but rice expands in the ole pouch!! But apparently the small amount that you had was not a problem. donna

Moo Goo Gai Pan works well for me...I can eat about 1/3 c chicken, about 3 peapods and a dab of other veggie... Sometimes I get Chicken with Black Bean Sauce, since it's spicier and I can only eat about 1/2 cup of that. Pam Pam 282/272/**214**/145 www.ellablog.com

Hey Pam - thanks for the suggestion. Like I mentioned earlier, I guess this isn't as much of a challenge as I thought! donna

Hi Donna Chinese food is the one food that I can eat and not upset my new stomach. I usually have pork chow mein with out the noodles. I don't do rice or the breadings. I tried the inside of an egg roll and it didn't go down that well. I have had a few bites of pork and beef but again the chow mein is so good that is pretty much what I stick with. good luck. donna also

hi Donna also! I'm curious about chow mein without the noodles!! That might be something I want to try. I just thought the chow mein was the noodles, so does that just leave the pork? donna

That was a good question. I have a craving for Chinese food myself and I thought I would only be able to have soup. So maybe sometime I will try the pea pods. I like those!
