Just plain frustrated

I know I've posted this before and I haven't been around in about 2 weeks because works been a little crazy but here we go again... I had my surgery on 9/9 .. yes I have lost 60 lbs and that's absolutely wonderful .. I am down 3 full pants sizes and from a 3x to XL in tops... all of this is great! BUT my scale hasn't moved in 2 full weeks ...not an ounce. I go to the gym 5 - 6 days/week ... I use my gazelle at home ...I get 70+ grams of protein each day ... I drink 65- 80 ounces of water each day...I take all my vitamins and I'm at a STALL. I've tried adding small carbs...I've tried adding more protein...I tried eating salad...NOTHING works. 2 weeks and I'm stuck. I don't even feel as tho my body is changing at all...and I'm really frustrated about it. Any suggestions?????????????????????

Hey Linda, hugs to you honey. I know how you feel. I hear people talk about getting on the scale every day and being down in weight. Doesn't happen for me. But you have lost a good deal of weight, you are definitely losing in inches, you are doing everything you should be doing. I remember one diet I was one that was just protein liquid shakes (like Optifast), and I was taking in no more than 800 calories a day. Some days/weeks I just would not lose, and I thought it has to be my body because there is nothing more I can do. And that is how we are now. There is nothing more you can do - you are doing everything right!! I am not going to tell you to be patient - I know this is maddening, but it will happen. It has to!! Maybe add some more protein - I always hear that is good. love donna

I think your doing great... When I lose 10 pounds I stall for 2 weeks. My doctor said that is suppose to happen with every 10 pounds lost. I would not worry. I had a stall last over 2 weeks., This is normal. Your body is firming up during this time. Happy Hoidays Barb

Hi Linda, I haven't lost a thing all week and I usually go in spurts, this spurt was supposed to be in the beginning of this week, but it never came. I know your frustration. (((HUG))) Just keep doing what you're doing (which is all of the right things) and it has to come off, it can't stay there forever! Beth

I'll tell you what worked for me when I had a stall. I keep track of my daily food intake in Fitday for the PC. I went through all the days trying to figure out what I was currently eating, I realized that I was taking in too many carbs (I was a little too fond of oatmeal and Kashi Go Lean cereal). I cut back on the carbs and started to lose again.
