Feeling good!

Well, I lost 4lbs this week. I feel good about that. I'm now 81lbs down since surgery and 104lbs down since my highest ever recorded weight. I'm also below the magic number (to me) of 350lbs, which means I weigh less now than I have my entire 11 year marriage. In fact, from this point on, my wife will be seeing less and less of me than she ever has before! I'm rapidly approaching sub 50 pant sizes, something that has never been done in my adult life. I'm in 3X shirts, most of which are getting baggy, but 2X is still much to small. In other news, I'm zeroing in on the next largest person in my life, *****cently lost 30lbs or so. In another month or two (at the most) I'll pass this person by on my way to sub 300 weigh ins. Which will be nice, since he's been one of the more negative friends in this weight loss surgery arena. (He knows someone who knows someone who lost only 30lbs with it... blah blah blah) In not so good news, my best friend went to the doctor the other day and weighed in at 270. He hides it well, but it was a shock to him. Suddenly I weigh less than 100lbs more than him, when that figure has been closer to 200 for a long time. He's been major supportive of this journey, so seeing him depressed over my loss and his gain is uncomfortable. On a side note, I read an article written by a report who underwent WLS, and at 13 months out he had lost just shy of 100lbs, and had 80 more to go. The report didn't say what kind of surgery he had, but it almost talked me out of the surgery, figuring that if that's all he lost, what's the point? I'm glad I didn't. Were I to not lose another pound, I'd be so much happier than where I was 12 short weeks ago. With that said, I hope I do lose the rest of the 126lbs I need to lose... hopefully by my goal date of 9/18/06. But that's a lot of weight in 9 short months with the rapid weight loss long since behind me.

Congratulations! Hey and I want to thank you for doing all those stat charts for us. I'm proud of you and everyone else who has made this journey. I didn't realize, myself, how big a difference that 60 pounds could make. I want to lose about 90 more, but I feel 200 percent better already. Keep up the good work everyone! Lacey 298/268/140

Woot Woot for the Weight loss!! Awesome! (I know the whole feeling alittle uncomfortable about losing weight while a good friend is at their highest, a great friend I work with is gaining and her clothes are tight, and she always comments that I am swimming in my clothes, and I know she is very unhappy....) KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

Good job Michael!! It's always fun to meet the goals that we set for ourselves. Sometimes it just seems like it is too good to be true, and you don't want to dream that big!! Keep up the good work - you're doing awesome -- and you do so much for this forum!! Thank you! donna
