I went christmas shopping on Saturday and actually had a good day. My legs didn't hurt, I didn't get that shaky feeling I get sometimes. I don't feel that way very much anymore. We had lunch out. (my first time since surgery) We ordered 1 order and I just ate part of it and my husband ate the rest. We still had some left for the doggy bag. surgery date: 9/13/05 surgery weight: 301 current weight: 261 starting size: 3 & 4x or 26 & 28 now size: 1 & 2x or 24 making progress slowly but surely. 24 is the smallest size left in my closet so I guess I will have to go shopping soon. I can't wait. Carol

As of this posting, 11 people had posted to the slow losers club. All told, the 11 people weighed in at 3092lbs pre surgery. We've lost 502.5 lbs since surgery for a total of 2589.5 lbs Thats a total loss of around 16% for all of us. The average weight loss was 46.7lbs The average starting weight was 281lbs The average current weight is 235.4lbs The percentage ranges from 11.17% to 22.54% for the individuals. With two people losing over 20%. The weight loss was between 34 and 77 pounds. I threw the figures off a bit, I'm sure. I weigh more today than all of ya'll did when you started! I "guessed" an 8% spread which seams about right.

I have had a lot of people ask me how I am losing so fast- but I feel like I am in turtle speed. I only seem to lose weight during my mestrual cycle and the rest of the time I am very stagnant. I exercise every day and I get plenty of water- the only problem I can see is maybe I am not eating enough. Anyone have some suggestions? Surgery Date-9/13/05 Height-5'10 Surgery Weight-281 Current Weight-226 (Naked) Beginning size-26W Current size-20 but baggy Any ideas how to stay positive when I feel so discouraged? Christine
