50 LBS IN 2 MTHS! IS IT TOO MUCH?
Hey Julie..
I had lap/rny on 9/20/2005 and I have lost 52lbs... my surgeon is very pleased.I am dutifully trying to get in all my protein and especially my vitamins (I forget a lot) but i dont know about u but I feel awsome
I am going to aerobics 2 a day which I never did before but some people just lose wieght faster than others..
take care,
Jean
I had my DS on 9/22/05, I have lost 62 pounds ( was 391 now 330). As long as you are either walking, joined a gym, areobics or some type of excersise it is all good. I was as weary as you were until my doctor said as long as you tone while losing, your body will catch up. You definatly have to admit that it feels real good to say I lost 50 pounds and it is not coming back. Have any of your clothes started falling off yet??? Its a wonderful feeling to put your "FAT" clothes in a plastic bag.
Keep taking your meds and you will be fine. As for too much to fast...nah your body would let you know.
Keep up the good work,
Brenda B
Julie..
I am so glad to see your post... I've been hesitant to post on here because my loss has been so much so fast. I read alot of others on this board who struggle with slow loss and I really don't want to seem like I'm rubbing my loss in anyone's face by talking about my loss.
Thank you so much for posting this!!!! I guess from reading your answers I better get my BUTT to the gym more often!!!!

Hello Julie, I also had surgery on 9/27 and am down 50 lbs. Sometimes it seems like a lot and other times I look in the mirror and don't see it.
Congratulations on your weight loss.
I do walk 40 minutes every day and am having some problems with not being hungery at all.

I've lost 86 pounds since my surger 9/1/05. I spoke with my doctors last night, asking if this was way too fast. They said as long as I'm doing the exercising and eating right, getting all my vitamins and protein, and as long as I feel good physically, then I'm doing great! I feel wonderful, not tired at all anymore. I was exhausted all the time pre-op. I had 116 pounds to lose to get to the docs goal (155 for my goal) and now I only have 30 to get to the doctor's goal, and 69 to get to mine! Seems really fast, but as long as the docs say it's alright, then it's alright with me! I surely won't complain!
