HEADHUNGER
Hi everyone...I hope you all have a great and happy Thanksgiving tomorrow!!
Just wondering..is anyone else dealing with head hunger. I notice, when i am board, I find myself wanting to eat....and sometimes I do. I have lost 39 pounds, had my surgery 9/19, and I know this is keeping me from loosing weight as quickly as some of you have. I find myself snacking, on peanuts..a little here, and a little there. I'm so frustrated, and I do not wanto go back to my old habits.
Is anyone else struggling with this, or am I the lone ranger!!!
I'm having the same problem. I had surgery on 9/6, and I have lost 54 pounds. I get hungry when I'm bored. Just drink plenty of water and find something to do with your time. Get plenty of exercise also.
It's all a mind game. Find something you like to do with your free time.
Some people knit just to keep their hands busy.

I am the same way! Especially at work. Thats where I used to just graze all day. I still eat peanuts and stuff at work. It seems like now that I get full way faster but I get hungrier faster too. I guess the food just goes straight thru. I have lost around 60 since 9/6. It might be the wrong way to look at it, but I think of what I used to eat and then compare it to what I might have in a whole day and I think our bodies have no choice but to lose.
I haven't experienced too much head hunger, but I will sometimes see a reoccurrence of the old nasty habit of late night snacking. Not hungry, just an old habit. More time than not, I just go to bed early. That gets rid of the urge. If not, I get some protein and then I'm stuffed.
I don't crave sugary stuff.

Hi Folks:
Great insight on headhunger...
I keep seeing reference to peanuts 2 months after surgery... What's so special about peanuts?
If peanuts are great "snack food", how about macadamians? cashews? pumpkin seeds? pistacchios?
Just wandering..

Yeah, me, too. Nights and during boring tasks at work. I'm just starting to catch myself, and terrified of returning to my old, bad habits, especially with the holidays right around the corner. I'm going to try tea and hot cocoa drinking like one of the other responses said.
Good luck to both of us!
