10 weeks out as of today..
I'm 9 weeks out as of Monday, and have lost 68.6lbs. I too, wanted more. I wanted to be 100lbs down at 12 weeks, but that is completely unrealistic. Using the averages I've seen on here and other WLS boards, I would be unusual if I managed to make 207 lbs (which is my goal) in a year. I'm doing well, but have a long way to go. Just under a third of the way there. (33.1%)
I don't know what your goal is, nor do I know how far you have to go. It is easy to compare what I did to what you did, and say I'm a week behind, but over 15lbs ahead. But I'd hazzard a guess I have more to loose, which means I'll loose more, faster. It is impossible to compare to patients to each other this short out from surgery.
My doctor wants me to take 18 months to get to goal weight. I want to be there TODAY. Of course, my goal and his goal are significantly different. He wants me to lose 230lbs. I only want to lose 207lbs. I don't think a 6'4'' man with as big a bones as I have should weigh so little.
Congrats, Monday coming will be ten weeks for me. I have lost about 63 lbs. I feel great even ate turkey, dressing, mac and cheese and collard greens yesterday all was well ( ate about a tablespoon of each) doing well. You keep up the good work. At my two month checkup my doctor said I was losing fast.
