What are you eating??
Hi Elayne - thanks for the recipe!! I'll give it a try. I haven't had bean and bacon soup in years - sounds yummy, think I'll pick some up. It's funny when we could eat whatever we wanted, the old standards sort of went away.
Be sure and take your protein honey, even though you are getting food protein I hear that the other protein absorbs or something like that easier for us. I should talk, I have only been getting in one a day, but I'm going to try for three!!

I don't know what I can or can't eat (other than mashed potatoes...I dumped once and will never eat them again) I have no desire for food at all...I drink 3 protein shakes daily w/ skim milk and take all my vitamins and drink about anywhere from 68 to 100 ounces of water daily.
I like you, am not adventurous...I am very concerned with getting sick and I don't want to. When I do eat...I can handle eggs, cottage cheese, any type of cheese, chicken, talapia and sole, shrimp, green beans and spinach and south beach protein bars (only the cinnamon raision...chocolate tastes like cardboard)...I haven't even attempted beef and not sure I have any desire to. I am full after my shake and don't really feel the need to eat...so I don't (not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but it's working for me)
I work 8 a.m. to 4 p.m...I drink a shake on the way to work and always have a bottle of water on my desk..I go to the gym immediately after work and follow that with a protein shake...I have a shake 30 mins before bed.
who knows if this is good or not
Hi Linda, well it sounds like you are about like me. But I think it's working okay so I am going to stick with it and try to venture out on trying a few more things cautiously!! I would love to know if I can eat steak, beef, but I am too nervous to try it.
You're doing great on your shakes!! What kind do you have? I haven't found any that I really can tolerate.

I have tried so many different protein shakes...I can't seem to tolerate anything mixed with water at all. I have to say that my favorite is the chocolate unjury mixed with skim milk...tastes like chocolate milk to me. I have run out and my shipment isn't until next week so I am now making my shakes with Carb Countdown Chocolate milk and unjury unflavored protein..it's actually pretty good. I figure as long as I am getting the protein I'm fine.

Portion wise, I try for 3-4 ounces for a meal like supper or lunch. Usually 2-3 ounces of protein (depends on the meat how many ounces - steak is only about 2 oz. but hamburger like sloppy joes 3 oz.) and a couple tablespoons of veggie. I have found turkey jerky to be wonderful too and of course I would be lost without SF popsicles.
