Krista, I had surgery on 9/13. My starting weight was 281. I am about 10 weeks out and I now weight 233. So I am down 48 pounds. I just bought 2 new pair of jeans(size 22) 2 weeks ago and I think I need a smaller pair already. This last week I have lost almost 10 pounds. I think it because I started working out on an eliptical machine and I have been walking. I had stalled for about 3 weeks and this really started things moving again. I had to have a stricture fixed twice so I have done a lot of throwing up and have had a couple of hospital stays. But I really feel wonderful now. The only thing that I fin is that this last week I am soooo thirsty all the time. I couldn't even lick a stamp the other day I was so dry. I am having a hard time stopping drinking so that I can eat. I just ordered 2 books from the library on eating after WLS. If I get any good recipes I will let you know. Christine

Oh man! I am glad you are doing well now. Those strictures must have been tough to deal with! I ordered Before and after living and eating well after weight loss surgery. I was thumbing threw the recipe's and they all have tons of ingredients and mostly stuff I dont keep in my kitchen on a normal basis. The recipes sound good though. Lemme know how you like those books Thanks KRista

My surgery was the afternoon of September 28th - 7 weeks ago. So far I've lost 38 pounds. It seems slow, but when I think of losing an average of one pound a week at Weigh****chers - this is FABULOUS! I am still having problems swallowing poached fish, but everything else my doctor has allowed me to eat is going down fine. I walk an hour about 5 days a week, drink about 64-72 oz. water daily, and follow all of my doctor's rules, so the weight should come off as it should. I'm not worried, but eating in a restaurant is still a challenge for me. Last week I ordered the mini crab cake appetizer at the Cheesecake Factory as my entree' - but halfway through the first crab cake the food got stuck and I had to stop eating. Oh, I finished it when I got back to the office, but it kinda ruined my lunch with friends. Soup is probably the best bet for a while. Doing great in Arizona. Pam - 256/212

I know isnt it amazing! I cant think of one diet where I could loose weight like this and not feel deprived. I kinda wish I would loose a little faster too but I try to keep reminding myself that the slower it comes off the better my skin will look. Hopefully! Oh man you didnt just say cheesecake factory did you!!!!! I love that place! My favorite thing there is the brechetta (sp?) Yeah I still kinda have a ruff time at resteraunts but I usually just get a salad with some chicken. Good luck with that! Krista

Had my surgery on 9/28...started out at 330, lost 18 prior to surgery...weighed 311 day of surgery...weigh 276 now....that's 54 total including prior loss...35 lbs since surgery. Should be more, but I'm lazy to exercise and have had an awful virus for three weeks. I can't compromize my immune system, so I have to wait to exercise until I feel better. Am getting in all my protein first and my fluids as well. I think we're all doing GREAT! paula

I had my surgery on 9/19 and started out weighing 298 today I weight 248. That is a 50# loss and I feel SOO much better although I haven't exercised like I should. I have a 9 month old and it is hard to find time to exercise after working, making bottles, playing with her and doing laundry... I just don't see how my parents did it... Anyways, I have to agree with you guys... EVERONE is doing great. Lacey 298/248/135

Hey everyone! I had surgery 9/26/05 My starting weight was 362 and as of today I am now 318.0 down 44lbs in a little over 7 weeks.I had a 3 week stall than bam dropped 4 pounds lol overnight.I do get a little depressed when I see weight losses of 50 or more pounds and they weighed less than me to begin with lol.I guess I am a slow loser which sucks but 44lbs down is great too and I will take it lol.I do need to exercise more though. Also is anyone else freezing their butts off? lol I can`t seem to get warm no matter what I do! I drank 20 ozs of decafe coffee this morning because I was so cold.I am freezing as I sit here and the heat is on lol

I am freezing too! Mostly my hands and feet but my friend says her nose is always cold now. LOL Wow way to go on the weight loss! Keep up the good work! Just remember that everybody's body is different and will let go of the weight in a different way. And as a bonus maybe your skin will shrink back better with the slower weight loss Keep your chin up your doin great! Krista

Krista, I had surgery the same day as you. 09/12/05 I started out at 298. I am now at 263. That is a loss of 35 lbs. I have lost 39 inches total overall, so that's not too bad. I wi**** was more. It seems that others are losing alot faster than I. However, it's been a long time since I've lost that kind of weight in 2 months. Please, tell me the protein drink you like. I still can't find one that I can really get into. hugs, Debi
