STINKIN FRUSTRATED!!!!!!
Ive lost 32 pounds since september 30, But havent lost a dang pound in 2-3 weeks... Im soooo friggin frustrated... UGGGHHH
This may not work... I think ill be fat forever... I mean Im eating 50-60 grams of protein, 40oz of water, less than 25 carbs, working out twice a week (3 miles each time), I lost 28 pounds on weigh****chers in 8 weeks... this is awful... I may have made a hasty decision...
how can a person be living on 600 calories a day and not be losing weight...
SORRY I NEEDED TO RANT FOR A MINUTE!
I had my surgery 9/20 .... lost 19 the first week ... stalled for two weeks, lost 11 pound the 4th week ... stalled again ...just started losing again today. I think, from reading the boards , this is normal. I've begun to think of it as ... loose, wear the same clothes for awhile ... loose somemore, clean out the closet again .....it's a money saving adventure and gives me time to tone.
Also, weight isn't everything ...cause the stalls are always when the clothes begin to "grow" ..same weight, but everything on the body gets tighter so the clothes get looser.
HANG IN THERE ....

I know how you feel. So far it seems like I lose weight for a week, then stall for 2, then lose, then stall. I've been taking my measurements every week, and to me that has been giving me a better idea of my progress then weight loss. Don't let the scale get you down. You're probably still losing inches.
I know how you feel. I have only lost 36 pounds since my surgery on Sept 7. I am also consuming less than 600 calories and doing 60 to 70 grams of protein, low carb and low fat. But I can tell you I've gone from a 2 x to an XL in my clothes. I have gone from a size 24 to a size 18 pant size and I can wear a whole bunch of clothes I haven't worn in years. So, the weight may not be coming off at the scales, but try on a lower size outfit hanging in your closet, you will be pleased!
It's hard though when you hear of people out 3 months that have lost 99 pounds. We all lose differently and as frustrating as it is...it's much more healthier.
Hang in there, it will happen for ALL of US!

Oops, one more comment. I lost 72 total now since I had lost half pre-op. I think sometimes people who have more to lose in the beginning lose faster than those who have less to lose. That's just an observation, that may or may not be correct and probably open for debate. You are probably losing REAL WEIGHT, not jus****er and that always takes longer don't you think?
Take care, Jan
I did the same thing. I lost real fast then boom nothing i stalled for a few weeks had a doc appt and was waiting to get yelled at. He did yell but because i was getting on the scale too much. He said stalling is so normal dont be surprised if you dont lose for a few more weeks then all of a sudden twenty more will drop. It started moving again just like he said it would. Dont give up we didnt gain all the weight in a day and wont lose it all in a day either. Things will start moving. I agree with everyone here. Taking my measurements is what gets me through those plateus you will lose inches even if lbs are stalled.

hang in there
I am battling frustration, too. I had my surgery on 9/15 and went for my two month appt on Thursday and had only lost 37lbs. There are a few that have lost in excess of 50lbs, and it makes me wonder why I'm not losing as fast as they are...the only thing I can come to is that I am probably not getting as much protein as I need. My doctor emphasized PROTEIN, WATER, EXERCISE. Well, I drink water all day long, but I haven't been keeping track of how much I'm drinking....I eat protein first, but again, I haven't been keeping track of how much I'm gettting a day...exercise, I'm walking 1 1/2 miles 3 - 5 days a week and I've joined Curves to help me "tone up". All I know to do is work harder....I hope it helps for you to know there are others going thru what you are going thru!

Hi there,
I TOTALLY feel very much the same as all of you. I had mine on Sept. 19 and have lost approximately 34#...if I think. I was saying 24#, but that's on MY scales, which are 10# higher than docs...It's crazy. I, too, see all these people who are just shedding the pounds like crazy. I lost 17# for sure the first post-op and was so thrilled, but then it kind of went downhill from there. I feel like you, like maybe this surgery isn't going to do it for me, that I'm "destined" to be fat. I know that sounds silly, but I'm just being honest. Truthfully though, I just started taking the protein drinks and exercise seriously, so hopefully that will help. I wish you all good luck with your weight loss, I know how frustrating it can be and am glad I'm not the only one out there.
