As of today, I'm down 58.5lbs since surgery. So I'm feeling pretty good. Had a 4 pound week last week, on the heals of an awesome 9lbs week. So here are my current stats: Mike LAP RNY 9/19/05 (450)427/368.5/220 The gory details at http://homepage.mac.com/totalriot13/newobsession.htm How are you guys doing?

Hi Mike, I am somewhat frustrated. I have only lost 25# or so, I think. Hard to tell. Doc's scales at Columbia have me 10# lighter than mine, but haven't been there for a while. I left there after surgery weighing 307# & now mine say 284.5# I am trying to average it out, not take off the whole 10# difference. I just started taking my protein drinks seriously this last week and a half though. I knew better, but have been side-tracked with father in ICU for past month. Trying to get enough water down now too. JUST started do Leslie Sansone's One Mile-Walk Away the Pounds tape today, so hopefully that helps. I get SO mad at myself. I've been studying about all the in's and out's of this surgery for a few years now, vowed I'd be strict and adhere to all the rules...nope, not me! grrrr Well, hopefully, I am going to start losing more rapidly now. Hey, GREAT job on your weight loss. I bet you are THRILLED!!!

Well, I've been pretty good about exercise, but could always be better. I so hate the protien drinks, and hope I can get completely away from them soon. I'm getting in enough protien, I think. No problems in the bloodwork anyway. Keep trying, and it will come off. Look at your percentages, I think that might help. What is 25lbs to you, percentage wise? My 58.5lbs is only around 15% (a little less, actually) of my total weight at the time of surgery! Not that much in seven weeks.

Protein water and excercise is the main key to weight loss. If you get you protein and water in and excercise I think your weight loss will speed up Take Care Barb

I'm no where near where I thought I'd be. But I can't really complain either.

Thanks for that %, now I KNOW I'm a slow loser! I figure I've lost about 8%, isn't that sad? Oh well, new focus!!! I know I can do it!!! Concerning the protein drinks-uck, but I'm trying to doctor them up a bit. I've heard sooo much about the importance of pre-digested protein drinks and how they are vital to our health now. I've read in multiple places that we no longer digest regular protein the same way. Not fun to think about, but thought I'd say it anyway. Good luck!!

My doctor disagrees with that. So unless my bloodwork shows up that I'm not getting in the protien, I'm going to get it from food as much as I can.
