Munchies !!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!
Hi friends,
Just thought I would share my latest phase. I am not really interested in food but I find myself wanting to eat munchie stuff, like chips or pretzels or nuts or something. Man I wish I could eat popcorn! ugh! I hope this IS just a phase. I am doing really well walking away from the cupboards and staying away from the fridge being as how I am not supposed to snack at all per my surgeon.
Is anyone else starting to experience this new found urge to munch even though you are not really interested in food??

Hi Krista,
I had those the other day....I satisified my hunger with a small salad with just greens and a low carb italian dressing by Ken's. It was tangy and hit the spot...
I heard soy nuts are supposed to be ok for us too.
I have to try to divert my attention away from the closet and do something else.

Hi Friends, I am also wanting to eat chips and things that i know that i am not suppose to have. I am 6 weeks out.My surgery was on sept 20th. It is kinda scarey because as you heal your pouch can tolerate more things.I just try to stay focus and remind my self that i am trying to adopt new eating habits, but to be real honest it is hard to try and fight those temptations.
I got this recipe from this great website..you should check it out

I haven't tried the recipe yet...not at that stage yet...but it sound as if they would taste like cornuts..if any one tries it and it's good let me know please

Hi Krista!
I am 7 weeks out and am on a full diet. This weekend my family and I went to Nashville, TN, for a my college roommate's wedding...I have to confess to the ladies and gentlemen of September 2005 that I cheated...I actually had some bbq pork skins (okay, if you aren't southern, you are probably disgusted!) and cheetos..., but I figured I haven't done it since the surgery and won't do it at home because we consider those "travel snacks"...I also have to confess the pork skins were wonderful!!! and the cheetos made me nauseous! (thank goodness)
I have found, though, that I can eat boiled peanuts (again, if you aren't southern, you are probably disgusted)..., but they are soft and salty and wonderful!
Just wanted to share!
