HELP ME.............................
It's now 10:50 a.m. here on Long Island and all I have put in my body so far is my unjury protein shake at 7:30 a.m. and about 1 1/2 bottles of water (w/ crystal light mixed in...16.9 oz bottles). That's it and I'm just not hungry or have any desire to eat anything. It seems to be my pattern...somewhere around 1:00 I get a very slight urge to eat something so I'll have a cheese stick and that will satisfy me..I can't eat much more than that ...I drink my water all day long at my desk...after work I go to the gym and immediately following the gym I drink my protein shake (on the way home)...I make myself a very light dinner (tuna or egg salad..last night I made meatloaf w/ turkey and ate 1 slice...that's it..couldn't eat the vegies I made with it) because I know that I need to eat but I am NOT hungry at all...I feel full all day long every day. I'm also not losing pounds (inches yes...pounds no)...I read what some of you guys eat and it amazes me...Am I doing something wrong? I am probably supposed to be getting more food and calories but I just can't find the room or the desire...Anyone have any ideas or help they can give me? Other than not really eating I feel great! I have lots of energy but I am also feeling very frustrated. PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEE?????????????
Any suggestions are very welcome!
Linda
Hey Linda,
I'm a clock watcher when it comes to eating. I don't get hungry, have little desire to eat, and when it is time I kinda roll my eyes like a kid who is told to put their toys away, but I do it anyway. I don't lose quickly by any standards, and another thing to keep in mind is your body tries to reserve stores if you don't eat regular meals. That's what was happening to me when I went into the hosptial. I didn't lose weight because I didn't eat anything. It's a pain in the ever shrinkin toosh, but it's worth it to keep eating... oh, protein shakes count as a meal now!

PS Soups like lentil are really good go down easy and don't make you feel bloated after!
Hi Linda,
My surgeon told me that by getting solids into the pouch and having them stay there for a while, I'd actually lose more weight.
I'm not having a hunger either, but I time myself and make myself eat something. Like today for lunch, I just had some Wendy's Chili w/ cheese on top. For breakfast I had a poached egg...I was full with both.
I do unflavored Unjury in one to two V8's or juice a day to get in that protein.
Can you just set yourself on a timer and make sure you have something at regular intervals? As long as you get your "protein first" don't worry right now about getting those veggies that went along with the meatloaf in. As your pouch sretches months down the road, you'll be able to get those in.
Just make sure you're taking all of your vitamins!

thanx for the advice...I am going to try and start fresh tomorrow morning...going to eliminate the protein shake in the morning and actually try and eat breakfast...I think that they are what is keeping me so full. I'll drink my water and eat some tuna for lunch w/ a few crackers...I won't have my protein shake until after the gym and then I'll try and have one just about right b4 I go to bed...we'll see if that works
thanx again!
