Stat Update for Sept Post-Ops
Not a plateu. Water Weight. You lost a lot of water right after surgery, then you gained the water back as you began to rehydrate yourself. Meanwhile, you lost a lot of weight.
I lost 30lbs the first week. Then 2lbs the second. The reality is probably more like 15-16lbs both weeks, if you take the water weight out of the equation.

Weeks out: 4 (9/20/05)
Pounds lost: 55 / 27 since surgery
Dumping: Once, served communion and without thinking, drained the chalice at the alter ...WHEW ... too much liquid too fast and too much sugar ...at least it was grape juice and not wine!
Diarrhea or Constipated: Diarrhea since day 2 ...never a let up ...PMC told me yesterday that the soy whey can do that ... so I'm looking for another protein source before I go back to work (my office is too far from the bathroom)
Energy Level: Good for up to 5-6 hours of activity before I tire out.

Weeks out: 3
Pounds lost: 47 total/17 since surgery
Dumping: Once on chicken
Diarrhea or Constipated: Constipated
Energy Level: Back to normal for the most part, keeping up with my 3 boys (ages 7, 5 and 1)!
I like seeing everyones stats, because I feel like I am going to be the only person in the history of having this surgery to not lose much weight! It is good to see I am not that far off from eveyrone at least!

260.7/232.5/125? Not sure on goal wt.
Weeks out: 5
Pounds lost: 28 (as of the 15th - haven't weighed since then)
Dumping: N/A - I have the DS.
Diarrhea or Constipated: Mostly neither. They are small & squishy, but formed.
Energy Level: Right at four weeks my energy started coming back. Bounced back, really. I went from no energy to Energizer Bunny.
Had my lower wisdom teeth out today, so I'm a little less energetic than I have been. Also back on soft foods for a few days. My surgeon said to wait a month post-op before having them done, which I did. I needed this though, so I did it as soon as I was cleared for it - they were badly decayed. (The upper ones are long since gone)
Since this time last year, I've lost 45lbs - 28 of it because of the surgery, and I'm kind of amazed - my clothes are looser, but all still fit. Makes me wonder just how tight they *were* last year. *laugh* Denial is not just a river in Egypt.
