NEED SOME ADVISE

I have had my first fill for about a week and 3 days. I have no problems with any foods and I can pretty much eat the same amount of food as before my fill. I stay full longer but that could be because I am very good about my protein intake. I'm very careful about what I eat. I have lost 6 or 7 lbs since the fill. But I did treat myself to Boston Market today. I thought for sure that would not agree with me, but I had no problem. I just want to know if maybe my fill didn't take. Should I be concerned and contact my doctor. I'm not sure how much fill I have. I keep a Diet Diary on Fit Day, if anyone would like to check out what I've been eating. I'll take any suggestions ( http://www.fitday.com/WebFit/PublicJournals.html?Owner=anissag )

Your food intake looked okay. I never eat over 1/3 cup of anything. I usally stay at 1/4 cup. The refried beans and cheese seemed to much with the salsa. Your doing great Barb

It's not that the fill didn't take - it's that it takes more than one fill to reach the 'sweet spot'. Your doctor will slowly adjust it until you reach the right point for you, and then you'll notice a bigger difference, both in amount of food you can eat and weight loss.

I had my very first fill around the same time as you. I at first thought it didn't work at all. After a few days I found myself not hungry at the times I had been (around 11am when I eat lunch at 12:30 and around 5pm when I eat dinner around 7:30 if I'm working) plus I wasn't eating as much as I had prior to the fill. And it seems to be working since I've lost another 3lbs since the fill. I'm down 19lbs since the surg...........YAHOO!!! For the very first time in years I'm under 250 lbs.....

I think your eating is great! In fact, the calories are quite low for the lapbander! Remember your goal weight loss, as a bander, should only be 1-2 pounds a week. If you've lost 6-7 pounds, in 10 days, then you are losing quick. Give yourself time and pat yourself on the back. Don't go lower, calorie wise, than you have already. You are eating healthy but don't slow down your metabolism with ultra low calories. Take care, Shawn
