I'm home...

Hi everyone, thanks for the messages! I just got home about an hour ago but wanted you all to know that I'm alright. I had a stricture, food couldn't pass through my pouch into my intestines, and it was getting worse. I couldn't even pass jello without major pain. They did an EGD on Tuesday morning and also dilated the stricture while in there. I would have been released last night except I still wasn't keeping food down. Today I kept breakfast down and was released. I didn't sleep well in the hospital, so I'm going to go rest now. Hugs to all, Rachel

Hi Rachel, I'm SO glad that you're ok and have gotten rid of the problem. Now you can get on the road to recovery and keep some things down. Make sure you keep us all posted on how you're doing. We were worried! paula ps. my mother in law was just in Delaware over the weekend for her 50th High School Reunion...not sure if it was in Bear or New Castle or not...somewhere right around there.

Glad you are home and doing okay. Keep us updated. I have had a week now of nausea and little tolerance to food (pain and discomfort, but no vomiting). I worry about a stricture...hope it will pass. You are in my thoughts, Denise

Rachel, I am so glad to hear you are ok. I actually was in the hospital in my area for a week still throwing up and they had no idea why. When they finally released me I went to the doctor who performed my surgery and he saw the problem right away. I didn't sleep well either even though they were giving me meds to stop the vomiting(which were supposed to make you tired). I guess there is nothing like your bed at home. Well, I hope you are feeling better soon. Keep me posted on how you are feeling. Christine
