Finally slept in bed..
..and it felt So good. I woke up with a bit of a backache and my hips hurt, but I got a decent night's sleep.
The recliner was great for immediate post op when I got home, but that was beginning to wear on my back too.
I had an open surgery, so my incision "pulls" and hurts at times when I'm laying flat.
Paula
wow, we had surgery the same day. i am still having trouble sleeping in bed and had laproscopic surgery. im wondering if something is wrong with me. i just always feel so uncomfortable. i did sleep in bed last night but woke with soarness and a headache. im able to sleep on my right side somewhat. i also feel that pulling when lying flat. i had to buy a recliner the day after getting released from the hospital so i had something to sleep in...no that thing is killing my back. im glad to know that im not alone. take care
Dana,
I had my surgery on 9/15, and it was laproscopic...I had trouble sleeping in my bed for a while, it was difficult getting in and out, but I have been able to sleep in it for a few weeks.
I found that if I slept on my right side (I had a drain on my left) and a little elevated with about 3 pillows below my head, I slept better.
I hope your nights get better.
