Is anyone breaking out?

Hi, Two weeks out and my face is breaking out with acne like it never has before. I'm sure it's the change in diet and a detox, I'm not worried...just wondering if anyone else is having this? paula

I'm three weeks out and last Sunday that my chin was red and kind of scaly feeling. Well by Wednesday it has gotten terrible, spread all over my face, there is a spot on my bra line and now down my neck. I went to my regular doctor on Wednesday and she said that I was having an acne breakout. I've never had acne, not even as a teen. She didn't want to listen to me and just gave me an antibotic. I called my mom's dermotologist and got in this morning. What she told me was that I was having a break out what she called "yeast ance" and it was from the stress of surgery, antibotics that I was given post op and the stress of recovery. She gave me a script for Diflucan and a topical med with a mosturizer. My face is so dry and scaly looking it's scary!!! Hopefully in a few days it will be looking more normal.

Hi Paula. I broke out something FIERCE after surgery! It was all over my chin and cheeks. I have always had acne, but not like THAT! I bought some stuff called MURAD from Sephora and it is working nicely. Erin

I am now almost 6 wks post op, and thnk god what ever was going on on my face cleared. It was red, dry, itchy and peeling gail

Hi paula, And yes --My skin is Not as smooth and clear as it should be--I thought that it might be the result of the anesthesia and the diet--I hope that's all that it is. I have never had rough dry skin and it is disconcerting--And yes, it seems to happen to Black people too--so hang in there--I am two weeks out too and I really want this to go away. My skin is looking better than it has in yrs. Even though I started my period on Saturday (6 days late!) I still didn't get a single pimple. I think it was kinda broken out a bit after surgery, but a month later, it look great! Beth RNY 9/12/05 301/267/160
