What food stage are you at?

I had my surgery on the 28th and I had my two week check on tues and the surgeon cleared me for puree stage. OOOOO.....one ounce of tuna or shrimp pureed w/ one tsp of mayo never tasted SO good. Are you all able to get in your 65 gms of protein a day and 48 oz of fluid a day? I'm trying my hardest and have to use Unjury unflavored to supplement 20gm or I'd never make it! I found a lemon lime (store brand) of chrystal lite and like that...I make it very weak and I'm able to drink it better. Before, I was a HUGE water drinker, now it tastes funny and it burns going down. Surgeon says it's probably the ph differences or temp differences that I'm not used to and it still could be a staple line healing. hang in there all....it's all down hill from here!!!!!!!!!!!! paula

Hi Paula, I had surgery 9/26. Was on clear liquids for a week. Then was put on a full liquid diet, which I will be on until I go back to the doctor on 11/3. Hopefully then, he'll let me eat some pureed food. Deborah 284/243/135
