Hey All, There's someting weird going on today. I have been having some strange pains in my stomach area all day. I am little over two weeks out and this is a first. The only thing I can compare it to is that it feels like I am having labor contractions. Anyone else have anything similar? I called the Docs office and they said I could be having pains up until 6 months post-op. They also said as long as it isn't severe abdominal pain with vomiting and fever I should be fine. Still scary though..... Thanks! Daphne

Daphne, It could even be gas. But listen, no matter what the doctor says, if it is really painful and it persists, you might just want to go to the emergency room. See what happens in the next couple of hours. Dawn

I still have pain in the left side of my stomach where my belly botton is. Also I have it in the upper middle stomach. I heard it could go on for months. It usally happens at night when i am wore out. I am farther along than you are. Keep an eye on fever. Take Care Barb

Hi, I've been having different pains in my stomach too...last night I had this sharp pain in my left side near my ribs...like a growing pain or gas pain that hurts when you breathe. I still have it a bit today. I've had a weird sensation feeling to the left of my incision too (I was an open surgery) and the surgeon told me that there are sutures about one to two inches on either side of my incision pulling it together. It takes a long time to get back...and heal thoroughly. Afterall, it was major surgery! We need to listen to our bodies and rest when we're feeling a bit sore, etc. paula
