Trouble in the evening?
Hi all...
I have a question. Does anyone else have trouble in the evening? I do great during the day with liquids and food (ie: chicken and tuna go down great) but starting around 4pm solid food starts giving me trouble. Liquids are fine, so are soft proteins like cottage cheese and string cheese but everything else is painful. Even the same foods I had at lunch are not tolerated. I have decided to not eat after 4 (which may be a good thing) since it is not worth the pain. Any advice?
Thanks,
Peggy
I'm having a similar issue - I *do* eat in the evening (usually cottage cheese), but if I triy to eat something more filling, it doesn't sit well. It may just be that we are so early out that we can't tolerate that yet.
But you should eat after 4pm - even if it's just cottage cheese. That way you're not going more than 12 hours without food (depending on what time you get up)

You will need to try to eat after 4pm to keep something in your stomach or you will get more pain and gas. Can you tolerate cream of chicken soup or yougurt? I'd call the surgeon's office or your nutritionist for advice. It would seem a shame to miss that block of time for adding protein. Good luck!
