Back in Hospital Again

I just got home today from a 5 day stint in the hospital. I have no idea what I did wrong. I started throwing up Thursday and could not stop. They tried 3 different medicines to try to stop the nausea. I didn't eat anything any different than the last 2 weeks. I had a leak test and that was fine- they thought I had bowel obstruction- not that either. I saw my primary care physcian and he talked to Dr. Hill and they kept in touch. According to my primary this happens quite often. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing happening. I couldn't even keep water down. Christine

Wow, I'm so sorry that happened to you. Are you okay now? Are you keeping things down? For the first week, I had to be on a liquid diet. Were you eating regular food and how long post op were you?

I have no idea what it was or is. I started throwing up again last night. I am not throwing up today but I feel pretty nauseated. The problem is that I live 2 hours away from my doctor so I went to a local hospital that had no idea what they were doing. I called my doctor today and we decided I would wait and see how I feel later today and then see him tomorrow, but if I have another bout tonight like last night I won't be waiting. I am getting pretty weak again and really don't feel much like eating or drinking anything. I will let you know when I find out what exactly the problem is. Oh - I have not been eating anything that is not pureed and I have mostly been sticking to soup- so what I am eating has nothing to do with the throwing up. It is pretty scary.
