My goodness, all I do is itch itch itch! I had lap RNY, and my four teeny tiny incisions are giving me so much slack. I put on Lanacane, but it only helps a little. It feels sooooo good to itch my scratch, but I am very careful about not scratching off my scabs. I have pale skin, and it looks like Freddy Krueger has been at me with his knife glove

Omigosh, this is SO weird.. I was just thinking the same thing, but I still have my staples in so I can't scratch.. too raw. But here's the clincher.. MY name is Shannon and I'm from So Cal!! When was your surgery? Mine was 9/26. I'm feeling okay, but I'm actually hungry and I'm on a liquid diet. Shannon

Shannon, I had open RNY and mine is also itchy- except my skin is coming off in sheets around my incision and where the drains were. I kind of look like I am molting. Christine

I had an open DS, and I'm itching, too. When I wash my incision with a washcloth, I try to get a few extra "swipes" in to scratch my itch. That helps some. But itchy means healing, so it's a good thing. --BT

My incision sites are not that bad it is just the rest of me that is driving me crazy. My skin is sooooo dry lately I just can't stand it. I have gone through a big bottle of lotion already and I am only 2 1/2 weeks out.

I use zest soap. That always helps my dry skin all year round especailly in the winter months. All the soap washes off and leaves no residue. Since I had open surgery I use dial on my stomach and zest on the rest. Take care Barb

I HAVE FOUND A CURE (at least for me). Not only were my incisions driving me nuts, but with the change in weather my LEGS were bleedings because I was scratching them in my sleep. Now, I shave my legs everyday so it's not like the hair was irritating me LOL! Anyways, here is what I do every evening: I draw a nice, warm bath and while the tub is filling I squeeze about 1/2 cup of baby oil into the water and then add bubble bath. I soak for several minutes, flopping over on my tummy so I get really basted. When I get out, I then put more baby oil on my tummy and on my legs. It works like a charm, and best of all baby oil is CHEAP!
