STATS: LAP RNY 9/7/05 (3.5 weeks ago) Pre-Op Weight Loss: 9 lbs. Weight loss since surgery: 13 lbs. (very frustrating "stall" week 2-3, scale just started moving again) Starting Weight/Current Weight/Goal Weight: 276/254/135 Dumping: NO, haven't had a problem with any food I have tried so far Constipated or Diarrhea: diarrhea the first week or so; now sporadic issues with constipation Incision pain: No, just a little tender to the touch Energy level: on a scale of 1-10 about a 5 - it seems like one day I have lots of energy and can get in 40-50 minutes of walking on the treadmill and the next day I'm tired all day.

Incision pain: Just the first few days. Energy level : Low, Due to a sinus infection. Is getting better.

Christine Open RNY 9/13/05 Pre-Op Loss- 0 Weight Loss since surgery:23 lbs Starting Weight/Current Weight/ Goal Weight: 281/258/155 Dumping: Yes, I am just figuring out I can't have milk which I love and I had eggs for breakfast yesterday and they didn't sit right either. Constipation or Diarrhea: I have always had a mixed up system where I would only go every 10-14 days. Lately I have been going every day. Hope it stays this way. Incision Pain: Only where the drains were located. Energy Level: Depends on the day and it does in spurts on the good days.

Stats: Melanie LAP RNY 9/27/05 Pre-op weight loss: 7 pounds Weight loss since surgery: 5 pounds Starting Weight/Current Weight/Goal Weight: 247/235/150 Dumping: Have not had any as of yet. Have a lot of pressure and gas but is getting better. I have to remember to eat and drink s l o w l y... Constipation: Not any more. Incision pain: Very minor - have not taken pain medication in 2 1/2 days and am only 6 days post op. Energy Level: Satruday was great. Yesterday and today I have zilch for energy. I'm sure the fact that I have PMS is not helping.

Michael LAP RNY 9/19/05 (2 Weeks exactly) Pre-Op Weight Loss: 0 (Well, loss 30 over summer, but none in several weeks.) Weight Loss Since Surgery: 30 as of last monday, no weight yet this week. Starting/Current/Goal: 427/397/220 Dumping: Regularly in the light pain and sweats, none in vomit. Constipation/Diarrhea: According to doc, no. But 5 days without is constipation to me. Incision pain: No, but the ITCHING! Energy Level: Low, but improving. Can't sleep more than about 4 hours at night.

Starting Weight/Current Weight/Goal Weight: 301/277/150 Dumping: Not at all Constipated or Diarrhea: A bit of diarrhea Incision pain: Nope Energy level: I feel pretty much like normal. I sleep like a log by the time it's bedtime though.

STATS: Denise LAP RNY 9/08/05 Pre-Op Weight Loss: 20 lbs. Weight loss since surgery: 19 lbs. Starting Weight/Current Weight/Goal Weight: 253/214/140 Dumping: Only once so far, on Dryers Sugar-Smart Ice Cream Bar. Constipated or Diarrhea: Occasional Diarrhea, BM every few days. Incision pain: Varies. Had a "pulling" sensation along the left abdomen for a few days after washing my kitchen floor, and now have that same feeling on the right near my belly button. Probably from lifting something. Energy level: Is slowly improving.

Starting Weight/Current Weight/Goal Weight: 301/281/155 Dumping: Nope not yet Constipated or Diarrhea: Bouts of diarrhea Incision pain: Not incisions, but still have G-tube until tomorrow and HURTS today Energy level: About 85%

Jacinda LAP RNY 9/29/05 (5 days ago) Pre-Op Weight Loss: no pre op diet required. Weight loss since surgery: 8 lbs. Starting Weight/Current Weight/Goal Weight: 225/217/140 Dumping: just slightly today after drinking some watered down fruit juice. passed quickly Constipated or Diarrhea: Diarrhea from day one but it does not bother me. It has really slowed down in the last couple of days. Incision pain: Yes. I also have pain and gurgling on the left side of my stomach. My Doc's nurse said it is probably fluid under the skin since that is where the doc put all his instruments in. I did not have drain tube. She said that it should be absorbed by my body or will come out at the incision site on its own. Energy level: Seems very low to me. All I want to do is lay down and sleep. I do force myself to get up and drink all my stuff regularly and walk, but it is very hard. I am praying that God will get all of us through this and we will be healthy and strong in the long run. God is Good!
