Medical ID Bracelets?
Is anyone else investing in a medical alert bracelet? I got one just to be safe. I figured because I thought about it, that I'd need it if I DIDN'T get one, so I just one that says "RNY Gastric Bypass, No Asprin No NSAIDS, my doctors name and number" since he works in another state. Am I being paranoid? I just figured it might be better for them to know my insides are rearranged BEFORE they cut me open or something.

I just ordered mine today - I have allergies to antibiotics also so I listed them and Gastric Band No NG. I found a place where I could just get the engraved part of the bracelet and make my own interchangable bands.

I got the Fashion Medical (tag) Identification Plate. I liked this one because the engraving is done on the back - no need for the world to know my medical history. At $16.00 Including shipping it is worth it.

You can find tons of jewelery making supplies at your local craft/fabric store or even Wal Mart. Also if you have an bracelets that are to small still you can add a clasp to the end and use those.
You will need clasps (there are different kinds so pick one you like)
O rings
Jewelery pliers
Cording (either the elastic kind or the stuff that looks like fishing line)
And beads that you like (there are litterally thousands to choose from)
based on prices around here you could probably make your own bracelets (they wouldn't be real silver or gold) for about $5-8 each. You could have a different one for every day of the month at that price.
Good luck and have fun,
