Barb, Not 100% what to tell you. Im 18 days post-op and I never feel hungry. I have to remind myself to eat. As for being full, for me it feels like presure in my pouch, not so much pain as much as just a presure... Hope that helps some... Erin 276/253/160

I have alot of pressure and gas. . How many ounces do you eat each meal and how many meals. I feel bloated. Maybe I need to start measuring. I wish my doctor was better with my aftercare diet. I am kind of lost here. He put ,me on Purees at the hospital. Thanks for your help Barb

Are you grumbling, I mean your stomach area? Kinda what we used to recongize as hunger? I thought the same thing. I thought I was hunger....but in reality, it's gas and bloating.....at least for me it's that way. With the grumbling it would trigger the head hunger. I always thought I was hungry, but then I'll be 2 or 3 and I realize I haven't lunch. I hope my experiences help. Oh and I'm only able to eat refried beans, cottage cheese, and eggs along with my protein drinks. Usually I'll have my Isopure with 12oz milk for breakfast. 2oz refried beans for lunch, or 2oz cottage cheese, then about 3/4 of 1 egg.

Barb... I can eat 2-4oz at a meal depending on what Im eating. I feel bloated alot too, but I wonder if we might not have some internal swelling after surgery. (I need to ask my Dr about that.) I chose my Doctor because of his aftercare program. He's fairly strict in what he expects.. my nutrionalist calls me about 2x a week now to make sure Im ok and doing what im suposed to. She advances us pretty slowly...and individualy depending on how we are doing. Fell free to ask me anythign you want, I can always ask my nutrionalist for you... We also got a handbook pre-op so we'd know what to expect, If I was you I would address your aftercare concern with your Doctor. He can't make better what he doesn't knwo is wrong... Best of Luck Erin 276/251/160

Erin, Thanks for the support... I will confront him about this. We do have a support group twice a month. I need to attend that as well. Thanks for you great advice. This website is so supported. Glad it is here. Thanks Barb

Hi Barb, I eat 4oz per meal (for meals a day) in addition to a protein drink. 3oz at each meal are a protein and 1oz at each meal is either a fruit or veggie. Hope that helps. Hugs, Dawn
