1 month out! not bad!
It has now been 4 weeks. Yesterday I was down 22 pounds. Can't complain but I do truly wi**** was more. Inches were amazing. A total of 6 inches in my waist, 4 inches in my hips, 1/2 inch in neck, 1/2 inch in foot, 1 1/4 in chest, 1/4 in calf, 1 1/2 in thigh. Can't complain at this.
Food is still trial and error. Every day is definetly different. I am enjoing swimming though, need to up walking on odd days. Overall I feel pretty darn good.
Right,
I am right behind you I am 3wks post op I am feeling pretty darn good myself. I just wanted to say thank you for posting your weight loss. I have lost 30lbs and I am in a stall. I was starting to have those neg thoughts, you know like I will be the only one who will loose 30lbs and that will be it. It made me feel good to know that I am neck and neck with someone.
Thanks again
Debbie
Hi there maybe we should keep in touch. I also had my surgery on the first and have lost about 20 pounds. I have 20 evacuees living with me and fell off my recovery plan big time for about a week. I spoke to my doctor and got a good talking to and now is back on track. I am so tired and feeling somewhat discouraged. I am eating pureed foods now and its a struggle cause I was eating solids. My pouch seem really friendly and I have nightmares that the surgery is not going to work for me. I am so disappointed in myself that I allowed my situation with the evacuees to set me in a tailspin on eating and not taking care of myself. Congrats on your success!!!
I am so glad that you posted this message and everyone replied because I am in the same boat- and I was starting to get depressed. I lost about 20 on the day I came home from the hospital(about 2 weeks ago) and I have not lost anything since. I am following the plan-probably could get more exercise-but nothing is happening. I keep wondering if I am the only fat person in the history of this surgery who won't lose weight. My doctor was obviously happy when he say I lost 20 pounds- but he didn't weight me when I left the hopital. I am on the scales at least 5 times a day and I know that is not good. I do keep hearing that I am just healing and that I shouldn't be too hard on myself for not losing any more. But it is very hard after going through all of this to not have some expectations. I do need to check my measurements - they say when you are stalled you are usually losing inches. Anyone have any advise?
Good to hear everyone is doing welll.
I had my surgery on the 14th, and this morning was down 29 pounds! That was exciting! I had gone up a couple of pounds, but all of a sudden a big drop overnight! Ill take it !! Ill take it!!!
I know from doing the Atkins diet so many years, when your scale stalls , your inches are coming off. I had measured a few days ago..had lost 23 inches overall. Amazing.
Ive had the same fears too, that I will be the one the surgery does not work for. But so far,,so good!
My pouch seems friendly too,,,except when I took all my vitamins at the same time,,,yuck! I was sick all night! Wont do that again!!
Hang in there everyone,,,its gonna work!! we are all just soooo anxious!!!
Well, gotta go take my walk!!!
