Feeling good as new

I had my surgery 2 weeks ago yesterday and haven't felt like I had surgery since Day 2. I feel like I did before the surgery, just not hungry and in control of my eating habits. I am exercising 20 minutes once, sometimes twice, a day. I do a 1 mile walking video in the mornings and then walk with my dogs and my family in the evenings. Full liquids is ok. I am getting in 64 ozs everyday, but I miss chewing, so when I was told I could eat toast and egg now, I eat it for dinner every night hehe. My family sits at the table together (the kids love this family time) and this way I get to chew and feel like I am eating lol. My weight loss is slower than I had thought it would be, but it's still something so I won't complain. Has anyone else noticed that their weight loss has slowed or had a plauteau yet? I actually didn't lose anything at all from last Monday until yesterday.

Congradulations on your recovery. I felt very good after about 3 days and have not looked back since. Surgery was 16 sept and I am on liquid diet for 4 weeks post surgery(My surgeon is German and they do things different here!) Are you sure you are getting enough protien? I think that could be the slow down. I have lost (according to my scale about 15-18 lbs(It only weighs in Kilo's) so I am really happy so far. Since you are getting the water and exercise, I would check the protien count. and remember slow is better than not at all!! Best of luck, J

Listen hun, don't you dare use that word (plataeu) so early in your journey!!! I know it can be upsetting, but it may just be that your body holds the weight for a while and then releases it suddenly. There can be so many factors. You should definitely talk to your surgeon. I'll bet it won't be long and you are going to see a nice drop. I've heard of this happening to other people. Hang in there!! Hugs, Dawn
