15 Pounds ... Gone FOREVER!!!!!

Did anyone else want to cry the first time they got on a scale and saw the smaller number? In only two weeks I have already lost 15 pounds! Thanks to everyone who emailed me and wished me luck with my surgery. All of you who are having surgery this month (and in the future) good luck! Congratulations Tami! That is too I just posted a question on the main board asking for peoples input on how much weight they lost at their first follow-up appt. I'll be 10 days out on Thursday, my 1st appt. I just don't feel like I'm losing. How much did you lose at 1 wk.? I'm happy for your awesome weight loss, sweetie! Kelly

Hi Kelly! My doc would not let me weigh in at my first appt. They said that there is to much fluid intake during the hospital stay to get an accurate reading. Did this stop me from getting on my own scale at home?? Of course not!! My first week I was down 10 pounds and now my second week I'm down a total of 17. Give it time sweetie!! It will come. CONGRATS TAMI!! That is just great news for you!! I had surgery the same say as you and am now at -15 lbs. I had a rough week last week and didn't lose at all, but lost 1 yesterday. I wish you continued success!! Beth RNY 9/12/05 301/279/150

I have lost 17 lbs since my surgery 13 days ago. Isn't it a truly wonderful thing? We are so blessed to have finished our fight with insurance and are now on the road to recovery. Love to all! Shannon Lap RNY 9/14/05 275/245/140

Thank Tami, you too! I am actually down a total of 30 lbs, because I lost the 13 lbs pre-op and another 17 lbs since the surgery. I was so glad I lost that bit of weight before surgery, because it just made my recovery that much easier I believe. Good luck with everything!

I lost 20 pounds Iam 7 days out. I think I have lost alot of water I was holding before surgery due to heart problems. I feel Like a new person. I did have open surgery. But the more I walk the less i hurt Take Care Barb
