Anyone miss the hospital?

I had my lap rny on Sept 14th, and have been home since Sept 17th. I really miss being in the hospital LMAO! I had a wonderful nursing staff, a TV, pain medicine whenever I wanted, and measured doses of ice chips and juice so I didn't have to think about it. *sigh* I guess I am just feeling a little sorry for myself. My husband had to leave again this past Thursday (he's a cross-country truck driver) and I'm back on my own with my daughter. I'm doing really well, but I get tired so easy. Guess that is why I am fantasizing about the hospital!

Wow!!! Not me!!! My hospital stay was grueling!! I'm doing much better at home now. But how quickly the family nurturing stops huh?!!! It only lasts for so long before everyone falls back into their routines LOL!! (now that...I miss!!). Dawn

Wow! Not me,,I had the hospital from you know where!!! Some of my nurses had never even heard of gastric bypass,,the kitchen brought me regular food,,,augh!!! It was a mess. Now that im home,,im alone all day, but with family and friends close by, and my husband is very nurturing when he is here. So, nope, I sure dont miss that hospital!! LOL

Heck no! The ICU was good, the nurses actually checked on me, but when they moved me the "batric wing" aka special nursed trained in handling baratric patients, they ignored me. I had a TV, the didn't give me a remote....then when they finally did, the nurse call button and the button to turn the channel didn't work. I was supposed to walk often, but they didn't come to get me. I was there for 2 days and went on 2 walks. I got myself up and walked around my room. They were extremely rude to me. I don't think they wanted to do there job at all.

My hospital stay was pleasant except they didnt want me to sleep and it was too cold. So I have to say I do not miss the hospital at all.

LOL I knew I was a freak! Seriously, it just goes to show that it really makes a difference which hospital you are in. Scripps Mercy in San Diego, CA - awesome! They put me in a semi-private room but I never had a roommate, and I noticed all the patients were like that. They brought me warmed blankets when I was cold. They were sweet and funny, some of the most compassionate nurses I have been around (and I used to work in a convalescent home).

I am with u about missing the hospital!!!! I had 3 days of peace and quiet. I really missed my hubby and kids cuz they were an hour away, but my nursing staff for the most part was great. I got myself up and walked several times a day, had a private room, and just took advantage of the morphine drip to sleep, and lounge. The nurses who I didn't care for were not there long enough to affect me. Also, I mostly did for myself, so if I didn't want to be bothered, I closed my door and went to sleep.
