Hi, I'm doing ok. I'm on the mushy food stage and am getting tired of it. I did try eating some blended shrimp and got sick from it because it was too dry. I also got sick from some mushed bananas. I did realize that I had to take smaller quantities on my baby spoon and slow down between bites. Once I figured that out I had no problems.

Hi there, I'm doing pretty well, the only thing I can't seem to handle is scrambled eggs, don't know why. I'm on puree still, but no matter how mushy my eggs are after cooking they don't go down... the really odd thing is there was a WLS picnic for locals this past weekend and our surgeons were there, they told me to go ahead and try the chili and a deviled egg and chew like crazy.. so I did... they felt wonderful, why on earth can I eat a deviled egg but not a scrambled one? I also tolerated the chili very well and it was amazing since beef is often one of the more difficult things for a pouch to handle. Notice they didn't say "go ahead, have a pieced of grilled chicken" though, LOL! Other than scrambled eggs, I've only had problems when I had red beans and some of the rice stayed in it and I didn't see it... it got stuck and I ended up vomiting, but I prefer the vomiting option to the surgical removal option!!! Hope everyone else is doing well, I get to start weaning onto solids after next week! I'm so excited!!!! HUGS Rachel

Hi, I had surgery on the 1st, I am not graduated to soft foods diet. My doctor had me on liquids for 3 weeks. I thought I would never want to see another high protein drink again. I am down 32lbs........loving it!!! Long way to go but I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am eating eggs, cottage cheese, string cheese, mashed potatoes, oatmeal (the new weight control Quaker one, it is higher in protein), white flakey fish, tuna, applesauce. BUT I need to get inventive b/c I am getting really sick of these foods. Good Luck Lori Chapel Hill, NC

I had surgery on the first and I'm doing great so far! I've only gotten sick twice and it was from skin on fruit that I'd forgotten about. Other than that, fine. I"m eating cottage cheese, mashed potatoes, tuna, chicken breast (canned) mixed with fat free miracle whip, mashed veggies, and all kinds of soups. I'm going to try some eggs tonight. I need some ideas though. Something with some flavor!! I've lost 47 pounds so far, so I won't complain too much!! Alicia Beginning: 305 Current: 258 Goal: 150
