5 hours!

I'm freaking out! Its midnight,, and I have to be at the hospital at 5:45 but I can't sleep I'm freaking out, I feel like I made a mistake,, I'm sure its just the jitters... I can't wait til this is over.. wanna hear something funny? The thing I'm probably the MOST freaked out about is the catheter!!! lol ugh I hope they do that after I'm sleep or drugged,,, do they?? I remember for my cesarian the things i hated the most were the catheter and the IV ,, I'm also scared somehting is gonna go horribly wrong.. that I'm gonna regret this desicion for the rest of my life.... that I did something wrong and its gonna compromise the surgery,, I dont know... =0/ dont mind the crappy spelling, I'm just ranting here,,,,,,

Maria - deep calming breaths - you are going to be fine. You made the right decision and in just a few hours you will be on your way to a better life. They put my catheter in after I was asleep so that was nothing. All your fears and worries are normal and when you wake up tomorrow you will think "well what did I get myself all worked up about" I am 11 days post op and feeling like myself again - the first day is a little tough - take your pain meds when you need them - you heal quicker when you are not in pain. check in when your back and feel up to it. My surgery is on Monday and beleive this or not my fear was the catheter too!! I told the doctor I promise I won't wet the bed just don't do that to me..lol I feel all your nerves and I will be praying for you because I will be in the same place on monday!! HUGGGSS

You will be blessing the cath because the last thing you will want to do is to try and sit up on a toilet that first day. They put mine in while sleeping and took it out the next day. It never bothered me, but it was a relief when it was gone (one less tube in my body LOL)! Good luck, you will do just fine!

I hope that you made out ok. It is funny how freaked out I got at small things. I was freaked by the CPAP test. I got all claustraphopic. The catheter is something that I also am not happy about. I don't mind the going in and cutting etc. just some of the stupid stuff. At this point 36 hours away. Hopefully I can calm down and not worry to much. bye d

lol so I'm finaly home,,, they did put the cather while i was sleeping and took it off before I woke up so I never even knew i had it on,, Everything went well, I just got home I'm still a little out of it from the pain killers but I'm good,, my biggest complain is the GAS! lol
