I am on the other side now!!!!
Hi All,
I had my surgery last friday the 16th. I am home now. Been home since Monday. I really have not felt like doing much of nothing until today. Yesterday i had a little scare but all is well. My pain meds maybe combined with everything else has me dreaming the freakiest things mostly that I am falling. Anyway something scared me in my sleep and I jumped out of bed so fast I thought I pulled my staples cause it was burning so bad I could hardly stand it. Anyway went to the ER and long story short and a few Xrays later everything is fine.
When I weighed in the morning of surgery it said I was down from 273 to 259 that is a 14 pound loss from August 23rd when I met with the cardio surgeon. I weighed my self for the 1st time on my home scale and it said I was down to 250 today but there is 3 pound higher difference on the docotrs scales so I would say 253. I see Dr. Shina tuesday the 27th for my first followup.
Well just wanted to let you all know I am home and Now I am on my weigh to be a BIG LOSER!!!
hope all is well with everyone else!!!
Hugs
Judi
Congrats! My surgery is on 9/26. I'm getting anxious and scared. I know that is normal---but I'm trying not to scare myself to death. I always get really nervous when I get into the operating room so I hope they give some happy juice before I get there.
I hope you continue to do well---and I'll talk to you on the losing side, I hope.
Congradulations!! I had surgery the same day as YOU and feel wonderful!! I stopped all pain meds by that Sunday and have not stopped since. OK OK I am tired a lot and need frequent naps but have unbelivably no pain.. Although i must say the Sat after surgery was not GOOD. I had that gas pain thing going in my shoulder, girls YUCK.. I must have used all the pain meds in one day! Anyway, our cases show that nothing is the same for everyone... I will be thinking of you and hoping your recovery is healthy . Best Wishes. J
