Hi Jean, Glad you made it through ok. Did you get pain meds to take at home? I got Percocet and they really helped me the first couple of days. Walking also helped with the gas pains. I bought a DVD called Walk Away the Pounds before surgery and struggled along to the beginning one mile walk. It helped a lot with my gas pains.

Welcome to bandland Jean. I was a little surprised by the pain also - it was worse than I thought but not "put me out of my misery" bad. I had liquid percoset for at home and was off pain meds by day 4 and have been sore and tired but doing well since. If you got presciption pain meds take them - its worth it. If not call your doctor and see if they can call you in some or try liquid tylenol. Good luck I hope it gets better for you! Lynn Banded 9/12/05 299.5/275/???/140

I am glad you are home, safe and sound! I thought the percocet was making me dizzy, so went off it on 2nd day home. Found out that it wasn't that and restarted it. Doc said don't be a hero, and I'm not. I just went off the percocet ****asional liquid tylenol) about 4 days ago, and I am 2 weeks post. Use the meds if you need to. It is temporary. I am still sore, but not in "pain" perse. Good luck..... Denise
